Experience
After graduating from Oregon State University, I began working on my certificate in religion and culture. I am also striving to receive TOEFL certification. Once I achieve my certificate goals, I would like to attend graduate school in the future. My main goal is to become a teacher so that I can help students to achieve their academic and life goals. Education is not only based on gaining book knowledge, but it is also necessary for picking up practical skills and application for life. I feel that I have reached success as a tutor, especially in my experience teaching English as a second language in Thailand. I have instructed on a variety of topics, though I prefer English, reading, grammar, writing, and other literature-based subjects best. I also appreciate teaching geography, archeology, and anthropology. Along with tutoring on school subjects, I can help with the development of study and library skills, which are integral to success. Outside of teaching, I have traveled all throughout the United States, Asia, and Latin America. When I am not working or traveling, I spend my time reading, hiking, and cooking. One game that I love is chess. I also always love spending time with my daughter.
